Anthropology is the name for what inspires me in terms of how as human beings, as a species, as a group of conscious individuals, we constantly feed off of one another’s existence in order to formulate relationships and thus progress in the world. It is through this natural desire for progress and connectivity that we seek to learn from others and accordingly become fascinated with one another’s lives. Some happen to make use of the anthropological microscope with more intensity, but nonetheless, the social science can be justified in terms of its analytical and inquisitive ability to peer into the lives of others and create texts and visual representations of those whom we inhabit the world with. Surely, such a social science is extremely valuable if we are to ever progress as a species? Not merely as individuals?
